Elements That I Like

Who likes science? I love science and I've got a science
room! There's a periodic table with all of the elements. I also have an atom poster, and paintings of planets and the Milky Way galaxy. My favorite element of the periotic table is UUO: the element not yet discovered. Each element has an atomic number, like Hydrogen is 1. And Helium is 2. Scientist think if there's an element matching each atomic number from 1-105, then there is probably an element matching 118, which is UUO. So UUO (ununoctium) is a estimate.  What's your favorite element of the Periodic Table?

  3. Wowza, I haven't seen the periodic table since we visited your house. :) I always like Pb because it made me think of peanut butter. I think it is awesome that you have something that you enjoy so much. When someone is as excited about something they do as much as you are....its shows in everything. You are quite a smarty and always so much fun!! I'm gonna have to read your blog to learn about all the scientific stuff I never knew about. Have fun this summer!!

  5. This is great Louis! I wish I was as interested in science as you, I am DREADING taking a chemistry class next year. I don't have a favorite element, but my favorite compound (I'm sure you have read about those) is NaCl, or sodium chloride, because I love salty foods. Hope you have a great summer, and I look forward to seeing you guys soon!
    Love you!

  6. Louis- I have to say, I don't have a favorite element on the Periodic table and now I feel like a dummy! I am terrible at science, so periodic tables have always just looked crazy intimidating to me. But I will give it some thought and get back to you, because honestly, I love having a "favorite" in any category that might come up for discussion. Thanks for the inspiration! (PS I haven't met you yet, but I go WAAAAY back with your mom :)

  7. My grandson Louis is sure to be the next great scientist with his scientific experiments that will lift mankind to another level. Keep it up Lou. I like Be on the periodic table. It is beryllium and has a high melting point. With those gorgeous eyes of yours you will melt hearts of your fellow female scientists!!! Just "Be" yourself!!!
    Love, Bubbe

  9. Louis - I'm going to say Californium because it sounds like California. That is so awesome that you like science and are good at it! My kids are really jealous of the science projects you do, because we always struggle with theirs!
